FUNC Pay is the payment and tab layer inside the planned FUNC register. The bartender selects the order inside FUNC, scans the guest's credential, and completes the transaction from the same interface.
FUNC Pay is in development and cannot process bar transactions today.
The friction today
Every card handoff slows the bar down.
A guest hands over a card or a phone. It travels to a terminal. A slip prints. A signature happens. The card comes back — or gets left behind at close. Meanwhile the venue ends the night with a pile of transactions that can't be connected to who was actually in the room or who brought them.
FUNC Pay is being designed to live inside the FUNC register itself, not as a second tool a bartender reaches for after ringing the order somewhere else.

Guests without a FUNC Pass are intended to check out with a standard card or mobile wallet through the same register.

Secure payment connection
Guests connect a payment method once through Stripe. Card details stay tokenized with the payment provider — FUNC does not store raw card information.
Guest tabs
A venue tab with a live balance the guest can see all night, opened and closed inside the FUNC register.

The order is built and paid for in the same FUNC interface — no second terminal, no app switching mid-rush.
Digital tipping
Tipping handled on the guest's own device instead of a paper slip and a pen.
Digital, itemized receipts
Itemized receipts delivered digitally, with the full order history on the tab.
Lost credential deactivation
A lost phone or wristband can be deactivated and replaced without closing the guest's night.
Venue controls and audit
Bartender PINs and permissions, comp, void and refund workflows, closeout at a disclosed time, and transaction audit logs.
Guest intelligence link
Tab activity feeds venue-scoped guest profiles and promoter-to-spend attribution inside FUNC Venue, with consent tracked per channel.
Status and responsibility
- FUNC Pay is in development and cannot currently process venue bar transactions.
- Stripe is expected to securely tokenize and process eligible payments. FUNC does not store raw card information.
- FUNC provides the software, credential, and transaction experience, and may collect a disclosed platform fee.
- The venue remains the seller and stays responsible for the products and services it provides, including taxes, refunds, fulfillment, alcohol service, and its legal obligations.
